The existing Sand & Sandals Desaru Beach Resort & Spa will be rebranded as Renjoy Hotel Desaru. The refreshed property aims to attract leisure and corporate travellers through updated design and enhanced facilities.
The collaboration combines Techvance’s local expertise with Jin Jiang Hotels’ international capabilities. It aims to strengthen the property’s appeal amid Malaysia’s growing tourism sector. In 2025, Malaysia recorded 42.2 million international visitor arrivals, an 11.2% increase from the previous year. Johor also welcomed 10.63 million overnight tourists, benefiting from this growth.
Positioned in the upper-midscale segment, Renjoy Hotel focuses on a unique hospitality experience rooted in local culture. The transformation will include updated guest rooms, new dining options and upgraded facilities. The property will retain its beachfront charm.
