Discovery Samal served because the elegant venue for The Stellar Trend Gala, a charity occasion benefiting indigenous weaving communities below the patronage of the b.LOOM Mission.
Held in partnership between the Davao Trend and Design Council Basis Inc (DFDCI) and the Mindanao Commerce Expo Basis Inc (MTEFI) on the resort’s Samal Grand Ballroom, the occasion featured a 100-piece assortment crafted by member-designers Aztec Barba, Dodjie Batu, Emi Englis, Popoy Barba, Edgar Buyan, Egay Ayag, Windel Mira, and Benjie Panizales.
Discovery Samal president Beatrice Gonzalez-Magallanes stated of the occasion: “We’re in awe of the creativity and proudly Davaeño aesthetic displayed by the b.LOOM Mission at The Stellar Trend Gala; [and we] stay up for welcoming extra implausible occasions with a priceless view of the Davao Gulf at Discovery Samal.”
Indigenous materials within the twenty first century
