LATAM Airlines Brazil has commenced the delivery process for its first Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s expansion strategy. The aircraft is set to enter service shortly, contributing to LATAM’s goal of increasing its connectivity across Brazil. This delivery is the first of 12 E195-E2s scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, as part of the airline’s plan to enhance its domestic network.
The introduction of the E195-E2 is expected to allow LATAM to serve a broader range of markets with varying demand levels, enabling new connections and supporting the airline’s growth. Jerome Cadier, CEO of LATAM Airlines Brazil, stated, “We chose the E195-E2 with a clear objective: to continue expanding LATAM’s presence in Brazil sustainably.”
The E195-E2 will initially operate on 42 routes, including eight new routes and four new destinations: Cabo Frio, Ji-Paraná, Macaé, and Rondonópolis. This expansion will make LATAM Airlines Brazil’s domestic network the largest in its history. By 2027, the airline plans to explore up to 18 additional destinations using this aircraft model.
The E195-E2 offers operational efficiency with up to 30% lower fuel consumption compared to its predecessors and features advanced avionics. Francisco Gomes Neto, CEO of Embraer, remarked, “This aircraft will play an important role in the company’s strategy to expand its connectivity.”
LATAM’s E195-E2 cabins will feature 136 seats in a 2-2 configuration, offering both Premium Economy and Economy options, with amenities such as free Wi-Fi and USB-C ports. The aircraft’s introduction is set to bolster LATAM’s network expansion in a sustainable and economically viable manner.
